Overview
1,4-Dibromobenzene-D4 is used as a calibration standard for the determination of trace levels of organic compounds. It has a sensitivity of 0.1 μg/mL and a broad range of applicability. The method can be used to quantitate analytes in water samples, such as pesticides and herbicides, and in food samples such as milk and honey. The 1,4-dibromobenzene-D4 molecule has a stable deuterium substitution on the phenyl ring. This substitution allows for an easy determination of the molecular weight by measuring the mass spectrum using a mass spectrometer with high sensitivity and high resolution.
