Application Notes
3,4-Dihydroxybenzoic Acid is a metabolite of polyphenols such as Phloretin (P339000) and Quercetin (Q509500). It is use in a study to investigate the effect of 4-coumaric and 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid on the basal oxidative DNA damage of rat colonic mucosa in vivo. It may be used in the derivatization of chitosan resin.
