Cilostazol-d11 usage and description
Cilostazol D11 is a deuterated isotopologue of cilostazol, a medication that is used to treat intermittent claudication. Intermittent claudication is a condition in which there is pain and cramping in the legs during physical activity. Cilostazol D11 works by increasing blood flow to the legs, which reduces the pain and cramping associated with intermittent claudication.
Cilostazol D11 is a phosphodiesterase III inhibitor. It works by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase III, which leads to an increase in the levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the body. This increase in cAMP and cGMP leads to vasodilation and inhibition of platelet aggregation, which improves blood flow to the legs.
The chemical formula of cilostazol D11 is C20H14D11N5O2S, and its molecular weight is 409.53 g/mol. It is a white to off-white crystalline powder that is insoluble in water and soluble in ethanol and dimethyl sulfoxide.
Cilostazol D11 is administered orally, usually in a tablet form. The recommended dosage is usually 100 mg twice daily. It is important to follow the dosage instructions provided by the healthcare provider to ensure that the medication is effective and safe. Like any medication, Cilostazol D11 may cause side effects such as headache, diarrhea, dizziness, and palpitations. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, it is important to contact a healthcare provider immediately.
