Oseltamivir acid-d3 usage and description
Oseltamivir acid D3, also known as (3R,4R,5S)-4-Acetamido-5-amino-3-(1-ethylpropoxy)-1-cyclohexene-1-carboxylic acid, is a deuterated derivative of oseltamivir acid, an antiviral drug used to treat influenza A and B viruses.
Oseltamivir acid D3 is used primarily as a reference standard in pharmaceutical research and development, particularly in the development of analytical methods for oseltamivir acid. It is also used in pharmacokinetic studies to determine the metabolic fate of oseltamivir acid in the body, as well as in studies investigating the pharmacological properties of the drug.
The chemical formula of Oseltamivir acid D3 is C16H22D3N2O4, with a molecular weight of 324.41 g/mol. Its structure is similar to that of the non-deuterated oseltamivir acid, with the addition of three deuterium atoms.
Oseltamivir acid D3 is a white to off-white crystalline powder that is stable under normal storage conditions. It is soluble in water and methanol, but insoluble in organic solvents such as chloroform and ether.
In conclusion, Oseltamivir acid D3 is a deuterated derivative of oseltamivir acid used as a reference standard in research and development of oseltamivir acid analytical methods and pharmacological properties.
