Benazeprilat-d5 usage and description
Benazeprilat D5 is a deuterated form of Benazeprilat, a medication used to treat hypertension and heart failure. The deuterated form is used primarily for research and development purposes, such as in clinical trials, to help identify the metabolic pathways of the drug and determine its efficacy.
Benazeprilat D5 is a competitive inhibitor of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), which plays a role in the regulation of blood pressure. By inhibiting ACE, Benazeprilat D5 decreases the production of Angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to constrict, leading to increased blood pressure.
