Teneligliptan R-Isomer usage and description
Teneligliptin is a potent and selective inhibitor of dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) which is used as an antidiabetic agent. The drug works by increasing the levels of the incretin hormones glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) which stimulate insulin secretion and reduce glucagon secretion. Teneligliptin is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and is known for its efficacy and safety.
However, during the production of Teneligliptin, impurities may be produced as byproducts or due to incomplete synthesis. One such impurity is Teneligliptin impurity. It is a chemical compound that is structurally similar to Teneligliptin but has different chemical properties. Teneligliptin impurity may have adverse effects on the quality and safety of the final product and hence, it is important to monitor its levels during the production process.
The chemical information of Teneligliptin impurity includes its molecular formula, molecular weight, and structural formula. The impurity may have different physical and chemical properties compared to Teneligliptin and may have different solubility and stability characteristics. The presence of Teneligliptin impurity may affect the potency, efficacy, and safety of the final product and hence, it is important to monitor and control its levels during the production process.
