(R)-3-Amino-2-methylpropanoic Acid-d3 is the labelled analog of (R)-3-Amino-2-methylpropanoic Acid which is present in increased concentration in human body with exercise and may contribute to exercise-induced protection from metabolic diseases. It is a product of catabolism of thymine and is therefore present in low concentration in urine of patients with a deficiency of dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD) which is vital in first step of pyrimidine degradation.
