Metronidazole-d4 usage and description
Metronidazole D4 is a deuterium-labeled version of Metronidazole, which is an antibiotic medication used to treat a variety of bacterial and parasitic infections. It works by inhibiting the growth and replication of the microorganisms responsible for the infection. Metronidazole D4 is chemically identical to Metronidazole, except that four hydrogen atoms in its molecular structure have been replaced with deuterium atoms.
The usage of Metronidazole D4 is similar to that of regular Metronidazole. It is commonly prescribed for the treatment of infections such as bacterial vaginosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, and other infections caused by anaerobic bacteria or protozoa. It may also be used in combination with other antibiotics to treat more severe infections.
Chemically, Metronidazole D4 has a molecular formula of C6H4N3O3D4, and a molecular weight of 162.16 g/mol. It is a white crystalline powder that is soluble in water and methanol, and has a melting point of 159-163ยฐC.
Metronidazole D4 is a potent antibiotic that should be used only under the guidance of a healthcare professional. It may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. It should not be used by individuals with a history of hypersensitivity to Metronidazole or any of its components. Overall, Metronidazole D4 is an effective medication for the treatment of bacterial and parasitic infections when used appropriately.
