Decanoyl-d3 Chloride is an intermediate in the synthesis of Decanoyl-10,10,10,d3-L-carnitine Chloride (D212582), a labelled metabolite of L-Carnitine (C184110) which is an essential cofactor of fatty acid metabolism. Also required for the transport of fatty acids through the inner mitochondrial membrane.
