Overview
Pyrene-13C16 is the labeled analogue of Pyrene (P849000). Pyrene occurs in coal tar. Also obtained by the destructive hydrogenation of hard coal. Found in wastewater in aquatic environments, and possesses genotoxic characteristics relating to estrogenic/androgenic, antiestrogenic and antiandrogenic activity. This compound is a contaminant of emerging concern (CECs).
